Osteomyelitis of the calcaneus due to atypical Mycobacterium

Abstract 

World wide tuberculous infection of bone remains common but there are few case reports of atypical mycobacteria causing bone infection. A case is reported of recurrent osteomyelitis of the calcaneus due to such an atypical Mycobacterium and associated with interferon-γ receptor deficiency (IFN-γ) receptor deficiency.
